How to Create a Dream board
Whether you dream of one day becoming a footballing legend such as Jack Elway or Joe Montana, a business mogul like Mark Zuckerberg or Carlos Sim or a political leader like Obama or Thatcher, it is vitally important that you have dreams. Something that often happens with our dreams however is that we let the difficulty of achieving them allow us to take our eye off the ball and we lose focus. For this reason it is important that you have something in place which can help you stay on track when it comes to achieving your dreams. A great tool that can help you do this is a dream board, a notice board which represents what you want to achieve in life and serves as a constant reminder that you need to strive to do so and here is how to set one up.
Make a List
A dream board should feature all of the things that you wish to achieve in life be it family, success, fame or fortune. It is important that before you begin to put your dream board together that you sit for a while and deeply think about what it is that you want in life and what is going to make you happy, make list of what these things are.
Once you have your list in place, start thinking about the kind of things that you will put on your dream board that will represent each of the things that you are striving to achieve. This might be something as simple as a picture of the car which you would like to buy or the type of home you’d like to have. Alternatively it could be something more personal like a quote or a photo of someone who inspires you. Once you know what you want for each part of the board, start sourcing the photos and quotes and put them together on the board.
Once you have assembled your dream board it is important that you place it in a prominent position where you can see it every day. If you hide the board away then it cannot serve its purpose. Some ideas could be to place it in the bathroom so that you see it each and every morning, alternatively you could put it on the front door of your home so that it can energize you every day before you leave the house. Find somewhere to put your board so that you can not ignore it so that it can serve as a constant reminder to strive for your dreams.
Every 6 -12 months you should be changing your board, either to reflect new dreams, accomplished dreams or simply to freshen it up so that you can no longer ignore it. Dreams and ideals change throughout the years and you should make sure that you always have a dream board that accurately reflects what yours are.
